How one views a situation, a statement, an event,..anything at all is very important.
That’s what we refer to as perspective isn’t it?
I found this definition online:
Perspective is a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.
There’s a synonym we all know well – attitude.
In life, attitude is said to be everything.
Indeed the very position of the letters of this word in the alphabet add up to 100.
That says something doesn’t it?
What does the Good Book say about attitude?
Joshua 1:8 NIV –
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV – Rejoice always,
17 pray continually,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5 NIV – In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
Romans 12:9-10 NIV – Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.
Looks like a tall order, doesn’t it? 😅
BUT GOD!
He transforms us day by day, as we allow Him to have the first place in our lives.
So back to the question – What do you see?
When you view circumstances through the lens of the Word of God or with the Holy Spirit’s enablement, it shapes your attitude.
I’ll give an example.
It’s a powerful illustration for me.
Seeing yourself as who God says you are, not as the world says.
It’s the picture of a cat looking into a mirror and seeing a lion.
Is that not amazing? 😃
Another is a video I saw of a rat eating food with some cats. Can you imagine the confidence of that rat, the audacity?!
And that’s the confidence we should and must get from being children of God.
Your Father is the Almighty Jehovah, Maker of heaven and earth, the Alpha and Omega, the All-Seeing, All-Knowing and All-Sufficient God. How dare you live a defeated life? How???
Then you don’t know the God you serve!

We are to have our minds renewed and no longer conform to the standards of this world. After all, we’re simply pilgrims passing through.
We are ambassadors for our Lord and God.
We must let our light shine wherever we find ourselves.
Dare to be different.
Not simply follow the status quo.
Can we do this in our own strength?
Nooooo way!
However, we have a God who enables us, a Saviour who intercedes for us and the Holy Spirit who leads us.
We are more than covered and we are therefore moooore than conquerors! 💪🏽💪🏽
