THE FINAL SAY

Carol Clegg-Lamptey

Who has the final say?
Jehovah has the final say.
Jehovah turned my life around
He turned my life around
He makes a way where there seems no way
Jehovah has the final say!

This is one of the many songs I love singing.
They say opinions are like noses; everyone has one.

One thing I’ve learnt in life is that no matter what you do, people will talk; so you might as well live your life . Once I know what I’m doing is not something that will displease God or cause others to stumble (depend on the Holy Spirit for these), I go right ahead.
After all, what??

My mottos
– Life is short, live it.

–  Happy yourself and don’t expect others to make you happy, else you’ll be so disappointed – been there, done that.

–  Do onto others as you would have them do to you – still struggling with this one.
For example, if you’d like someone to reach out to you and nobody is doing that; go ahead and call that friend ; you never know what they’re going through.

EVERYBODY’S GOT PROBLEMS!!!!
BUT, GOD DEY!

Back to the subject matter; talk about digressing!

In life, people may say a lot of things to you. Some are encouraginig, uplifting, inspiriing etc; some on the other hand are downright horrid and discouraging.
As easy as it is to point fingers at someone else; may we pray and ask for forgiveness for those times we ourselves willingly or unwillingly did this to our neightbour.

I’ve has my fair share.
However, when faced with such a dilemma of for example being told it is impossble for you to do something, what you need to do is go before your Lord and God – the God of impossibilities and ask Him what He has to say about that.

GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY!!

I was once faced with such a dilemma; boy was I discouraged. But I thank God for my parents who encouraged me and friends too.
I went ahead to do what I was told I wouldn’t be able to do; note that I worked hard in preparation and said – Lord, have Your way.

Oh my goodness,…God did it and I was amazed,
He did it and did it such that all I could do was give Him alll the glory!

He has done great things,
He has done great things,
He has done great things,
Bless His Holy Name!!!!!

Find below some Bible verses:

Luke 18:27 NLT –
He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”

Matthew 19:26 NLT –
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

Mark 9:23 NLT – What do you mean, ‘If I can?”’ Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

This verse always gets me.
It could be a whole message 😅👇🏾

Matthew 17:20 NLT – “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

And remember

Hebrews 11:6 NLT –
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

And,..
Romans 10:17 NIV – Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

May God grant us the strength.
He and He alone has the final say!

Let’s seek His face daily in every issue that confronts us. We’re instructed to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him and indeed, He shall direct our path.

God dey!
