THAT STILL SMALL VOICE

Carol Clegg-Lamptey

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
I’m sure we’ve all heard of this saying.
Well, we’re certainly making lemonade! 🤣🤣🤣

Attitude is key in our lives.
Things may not always go the way we want; in fact, let me rephrase that statement – things will certainly not always go the way we want BUT we can determine so much by how we react in such circumstances.

Currently, I’m having one of those 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ moments.😅

Something happened last night and I made a pronouncement. Even as I said it, something said I should check; I pushed the thought away. 😅

As I was clearing my car door of rubbish I saw a number on a sheet of paper. Something told me – Carol you may need this number, keep the sheet. But oh nooo, Carol went ahead to throw away the sheet. 😂

Now guess what?? I need that sheet 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It would have saved me a whole lot of trouble.
So see me, instead of lamenting and beating myself up which I admittedly did do for a few minutes,.. I finally listened to the something and sat down to type this. 🤣🤣

The something I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit!

– How many times have you and I ignored that still small voice as we go about our daily activities?
– How many times have we saved ourselves so much trouble when we did listen to that still small voice?
– How have we impacted others when we followed that leading to make that call, send that message, give that smile?
– How many times have we silenced that voice with our logical thinking?

Lord have mercy!

What did Jesus tell the disciples concerning the Holy Spirit?

John 14:15-17 NLT –

“If you love me, obey my commandments.

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.

17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

John 14:26 NLT –

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—
he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Admittedly, for a while in my Christian walk, I didn’t really get who the Holy Spirit was and His role in my life.
I do now; all this writing is under His inspiration.
As I like to say quite often —- Whom am I???
The Holy Spirit never ceases to amaze me in giving a topic each day I put out a blog.

Left to me, there would be nothing out today,.. but here we are 🤓
God can do so much through us and in us when we yield to Him.
When we launched this blog,..shout out to my dear friend Clem 🤗, I told God,..I want to do this three times a week – please give me a message each of those days and He has!

I sit to write and the words just pour out on the phone or tablet.
God is so wonderful eh!
Oh my gooodness!!!

This is just scratching the surface, concerning the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is so much more in the life of the believer and Godwilling, there shall be a leading in that direction to go deeper into His role in our lives.

These are five key roles of the Holy Spirit I came across:
1. He guides us into Jesus’ truth
2. He directs our steps
3. He gives us spiritual gifts
4. He empowers us to proclaim the gospel
5. He guarantees our hope of heaven

Amen and amen!!!

God has indeed given us all we need for life and godliness and the Holy Spirit is key.
2 Peter 1 :3
Wow!!!

This makes me want to
Praaaaaaaaaaaaaaaise God!!!!
