It’s amazing how we as human beings can sometimes have such short memories, (myself very much included), when it comes to God. At this juncture I can’t point my finger at the Israelites and their grumbling while they were in the desert those 40 years.😅
That’s the funny thing about pointing fingers at others; you have three fingers pointing right back at you! 👀👀
I came across this term – short term spiritual memory.🤔
How do we combat this phenomenon?
We can do this by immersing ourselves in the Word of God daily, through fellowship, taking to heart the sermons we hear week after week in the pulpit so that we are reminded of the God we serve and who we are in Him.
We are who He says that we are which is wonderfully captured in Ephesians 1 and 2, and was pointed out in the movie “Overcomer”.
We are blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, sealed, loved and saved.
Praise God!
So, back to the song – Firm Foundation in the spirit of remembrance. 😊
These words always spoke to me and they speak to me yet again.
I’ve still got joy in chaos
I’ve got peace that makes no sense
So I won’t be going under
I’m not held by my own strength
‘Cause I’ve built my life on Jesus
He’s never let me down
He’s faithful in every season
So why would He fail now?
Indeed, He is faithful in every season that we may find ourselves in.
Ours is to trust Him no matter what and even if things don’t go the way we expect.
Jeremiah 17:7 NIV –
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.
Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV –
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
4 Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.
He is Lord of all. Whether we’re on the mountain or in the valley, He is Lord! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
He is Lord, He is Lord
He has risen from the dead,
He is Lord.
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess,
That Jesus Christ is Lord.
God bless you!
🤗
Thank you 🙏
Thank you too.
