PATIENCE

Patience is a virtue.
Are people called Patience really patient??🤣

What is a virtue?
A virtue according to the good old internet is
good moral quality in a person, or the general quality of being morally good.

I’ve shared this quote from the movie Evan Almighty before.
I’ll share it again 😅

“Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience?
Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous?
If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”

Lady A where you dey?
You’re part and you know paaaa.
Then my brother in Christ,..you too ,..you’re part.
What else was a part of my
wonderful experience??

Ah yes,..my footwear.
Imagine being late for a show you haven’t been to in years,..you finally descend to the ground floor of the parking lot..then your slip-on (you can count the number of times you have worn) gets spoiled.
My in!!!
🤣🤣🤣

I gave up at the point.
Crash course on patience.

What could I do but,..take a deep breath and say God help me to be patient.
Na all these stumbling blocks,..you must want to teach me some patience; to learn to chillax (because when it comes to time,.it paaaains me to be late for anything!)

And we were 30+minutes late.🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾

Did we get to watch — yes
Did I learn the lessons I needed to from the show — yes
So why stress?

James 1:3-4 NLT –
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

And it is part of the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

In my defense, I didn’t pray for patience oo.
All I wanted to do was watch an Ebo Whyte play from start to end. 😅

But it is part of the fruit of the Spirit.
So if the Lord deems it fit to be putting me through such experiences to exhibit and develop the fruit of the Spirit,..so be it.

But Lord,..take your time small er! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m sure He has a great sense of humour 🤪

Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Him throughout the day and throughout our lives.
He loves us with an everlasting love
