Who is Jesus to You?

What is the background to this question?
Well,.. if you were sitting in church with me you’d certainly know. 😃

Let’s read:

Matthew 16:13-17 NIV – When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

Who is Jesus to me?
Well,.. I’ll certainly tell you. 😅

There are countless songs that tell of who Jesus is to me.

_He is my Saviour.
He died to save me from my sins.

_ He is the lover of my soul.
This phrase is an expression of faith and dependence on Christ’s unfailing love.

_ He is my Peace.
Just as he calmed storms in the times of old,..He calms the storms in my life and even when He does not calm it,..He leads me through them to the calm.

_ He is my Strength.
I look to Him for my strength daily.
Is He not God?
Three persons in one God!

_ He is my Victory!
He overcame sin and the grave. The battle has been won already!
Praise God!!!!

This song:
I love that man of Galilee
For He has done so very much for me
He has taken away my sin
And now He lives in me
I love, I love that Man of Galilee!

_ He is pre- eminent; above ALL things. At the name of Jesus,..every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord!
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

_ He is everything to me.
My treasure, my priority, who can compare to Him?
Great is the measure of His royalty,.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

One of the profound statements I got from the sermon in my church was this:

Our commitment and devotion to Jesus and the church is dependent on our acknowledgement of Him as the Messiah.

Now I put it to you (feeling like a lawyer 😜) : Who is Jesus to you??

God bless you!
