This is a very profound statement for me and is rich with meaning.
I’ve encountered it twice in the past week or so.
The first was in a testimony I listened to by Tasha Cobbs (God bless the dear friend who sent it to me 🤗), and the second was in my devotion during the week.
His Will,…His Way. What does this statement mean to you?
Funny enough when I checked online I saw the same phrase with some additions ; His Will, His Way, my faith as well as His Word, His Will, His Way, and His Will, His Way, His time. Oh wow!
I’m drawn to the last one most.
His Will.
Simply put , Gods Will is what He wants.
I came across these 3 wills of God; namely Intentional, Permissive and Ultimate. 😊
In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they are said to have rejected the intentional will of God.
This brought into play His permissive will. It was not what God wanted for Adam or Eve or for any of us BUT it was permitted because of the choices they had made. Interesting,…
Ultimate will,..I’m in love with it already! 😍
Gods ultimate will is that we abide with Him eternally.
His Way.
God has a way for our lives.
A way in which He plans to fulfill his promises in our lives.
Are we patient to walk in His Way?
A perfect example for me in, fact two, are the cases of Abraham and Sarah, then Moses.
God had promised Abraham a son, that he would be the father of many nations. A father with no child?? They took matters into into their own hands instead of waiting on God and there came along Ishmael. The promise still came in the form of Isaac, but their failure to wait complicated their lives and ours too. 😅
Moses. God commanded Moses to speak to the rock to bring out water. In his anger (granted, the Israelites could really get on his nerves, mine too, but aren’t we just like them sometimes? 🤔), he hit that rock, not once, but twice! 🙆🏽♀️😬😬
Result – after allllllll those years , Moses did not enter the Promised Land. Awwwww 🥲
My brother, my sister. God has a purpose and a will for your life.
Just like to set up a machine, you use a manual, to live your life within the intentional Will of God, who else should you consult, but God?
We all make mistakes sometimes and I’m sure you can identify certain areas of your life where you’re living in God’s permissive will. I sure can! BUT GOD!
Let’s seek His Will in all our ways and allow Him to direct the paths of our lives and do it HIS WAY.
His Way is not going to be the easiest in many circumstances,..but guess what, it is the best way.
Remember who God is – the Alpha and Omega, the all knowing and seeing God,..who better to entrust the reins of your life to?
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV –
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
May the good Lord bless and keep you all the days of your life! 🤗
Amen and Amen!!!
