EL-SALI

Carol Clegg-Lamptey

Truthfully,.I personally have never heard of this name of God before.

I was sitting my somewhere and an old friend suggested we write on this. My initial reaction was to roll my eyes (I cannot lie 🙈). Then when I searched online,..I suddenly broke into song.

EL-SALI

This is the Hebrew name for God meaning the Lord is my strength or God my rock.

And is He not?????

Wow!

The verses related to this are Exodus 17:6 and 1 Corinthians 10:1-4.

Exodus 17:6 NLT
6 I will stand before you on the rock at Mount Sinai. Strike the rock, and water will come gushing out. Then the people will be able to drink.” So Moses struck the rock as he was told, and water gushed out as the elders looked on.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 NLT
I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground.
2 In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses.
3 All of them ate the same spiritual food,
4 and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ.

The Word has spoken for itself.

God is our Rock.
God is our Strength.

Let that sink in.

Wow!

No matter what life throws your way, never forget this fact.

The I AM THAT I AM is your strength.
He is your Rock.
