The Bible is full of absolutes, which are so encouraging when contained in promises.
There are those absolutes that are warnings, which we must take heed to.
We serve a holy God. ππΎππ½ππ½
So what are some of these absolute words in the English language?
All, none, always, never, only, except, just, to mention a few.
I was listening to a hymn – Iβve found a Friend oh, such a Friend and the words got to me, especially those of the third stanza.
Iβve found a Friend, oh, such a Friend!
So kind, and true, and tender,
So wise a Counsellor and Guide,
So mighty a Defender!
From Him who loves me now so well,
What power my soul can sever?
Shall life or death, or earth or hell?
No! I am His forever.
The last few lines brought to mind Romans 8:28-29.
Romans 8:38-39 NIV –
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So that is what the title is referring to. π
Absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God. That love that knows no bounds; the love that we cannot even comprehend! ππ₯°
Ephesians 3:16-19 NIV –
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
18 may have power, together with all the Lordβs holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledgeβthat you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
So today and every day no matter what, may we keep this truth in our hearts as believers and know that in Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). God’s got us!
I’ll end with these words I found online:
God allows nothing to separate us from his love (Romans 8:38-39). Paul considers some powerful threats in the universe, but none of them can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Donβt let suffering cause you to doubt Godβs love. Suffering is designed to draw you closer to Christ and makes you more like Him. You have nothing to fear. You are secure in Godβs love. Paul could say this because he endured a multitude of afflictions and nothing separated him from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
