YET,..GOD

This almost sounds like ‘But God!’
But the wording is different, so therefore in conclusion, it’s not the same! 😜

Yet,…
This word is more than often preceded by what one might consider an undesirable situation and we have plenty on this side of eternity. 😅🤦🏽‍♀️
‘Plenty’ could actually be an understatement, especially in these last days. 😬

If your Lord and Saviour can tell you this,..

John 16:33 NIV –
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Then you know what to expect in this life,..yet,…God.

One verse that I love is found in Psalm 42. The superscription to the Psalm says it was written by the sons of Korah, but many believe David to be its true author and that it was written during David’s flight from Absalom. Whatever the case, the Psalm is characterized by the psalmist’s questioning of God, questioning of himself, then his hope at the end. We all love hope don’t we??

1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV – And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I suggest you read the entire Psalm. The last verse is what really gets to me 😃.

Psalm 42:11 NIV – Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Saviour and my God.

And this my brother, my sister, should be our response in the various trials we may face. Easier said than done, I know,..BUT GOD!

The inspiration for this two word title, 😅 came from a hymn. I’ll put done the entire verse. May we all ponder on the words.

Though vine nor fig tree neither
their wonted fruit should bear,
though all the field should wither,
nor flocks nor herds be there,
yet God the same abiding,
His praise shall tune my voice;
for while in Him confiding,
I cannot but rejoice.
