God is amaaaazing!
Do I say it enough???
Let me say it again; in fact shout it : GOD IS SIMPLY AMAAAAAZING!!! 😃🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Consider these words from a song I’ll share below:
And I choose surrender
I choose to love
Oh, God my Savior, You’ll always be enough
I choose forgiveness
I choose grace
I choose to worship, no matter what I face.
Life.
Full of choices.
God has indeed given us a free will.
We have the power to choose.
We choose daily what to say, where to go, how to respond to people and the circumstances around us.
As believers, we are to be led by the Spirit.
We are to follow the Jesus way.
Is that not what it means to be called a Christian, a term which is abused?
A true Christian is a follower of Christ. Was it not at Antioch that believers were first called Christians?
A Christian can therefore defined as a person who believes in Jesus Christ and follows His teachings.
Once we follow His teachings,..we follow His way of doing things. 🤷🏾♀️
I like to sum it up in the phrase – What Would Jesus Do – WWJD for short.
Our Lord lived a life of love , so we must do same.
Can we do this in our own strength?
Never!
BUT GOD!
We can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS US.
We cannot follow the Jesus way if we don’t know this great man of Galilee.
We must read the Word, fellowship, pray, listen to and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit, thereby choose the Jesus way in our daily dealings.
Is it easy?
Noooo!!!
Will we look like ‘fools’ to the world sometimes?
Yes!!!
But let’s face it, we are living to please God, our commanding officer 😃, and not men. We are ambassadors for Christ, heaven is our home; we’re just passing through this earth for a period.
Philippians 2:3-8 NIV –
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
So,.. do you choose the Jesus way?
